Performance Coaching

This option is for dancers in any state/country who are looking to enhance their technique and performance. Sessions include an assessment of dance technique, corrective strategies, movement re-training, and custom strength training program. This is NOT PHYSICAL THERAPY, nor is it meant to replace medical care and no injuries can/will be addressed during your session.

Melissa is a licensed nutritionist and professional ballet dancer with a passion for helping dancers fuel their performance—without stress or restriction. She holds a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport and is a Certified Nutrition Specialist®, having completed her clinical hours under the supervision of The Nutrition + Herbal Collective. Melissa specializes in dance-specific nutrition coaching that supports energy, stamina, recovery, and long-term well-being. Her work is grounded in balance, body respect, and real-life strategies dancers can actually use.

As a current professional dancer herself, Melissa deeply understands the unique demands dancers face. Whether she’s leading a workshop, collaborating with a dance company, or working one-on-one, her goal is always the same: to empower dancers with the tools they need to thrive—both on and off the stage.

Dr. Jenna Loewer is a Physical Therapist and Dance Medicine Specialist with over a decade of experience helping performers, athletes, and women move better, feel stronger, and stay pain-free. A former dancer herself, she understands firsthand what it takes to recover from injury while continuing to perform at a high level.

After earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nazareth College in 20111, she began her career working with The Rochester City Ballet, Garth Fagan Dance Company, and Eastman School of Music. In 2016, she founded On Pointe Wellness and Rehab in Northern Virginia to meet a growing need for expert care in dance medicine and chronic hip injuries.

Dr. Jenna serves on the Board of Directors for the Manassas Ballet Theatre, where she is also their in-house Physical Therapist. She sits on the advisory board for Doctors for Dancers and is an active member of the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS).

Dr. Jenna is the author of Hip Impingement to Hope, a book for those seeking real solutions to chronic hip pain beyond surgery. She’s passionate about helping dancers and active women get clear answers about hip impingement and labral tears so they can stop guessing, start healing, and return to the movement they love.

Ashley earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2015 and is passionate about helping others move and feel their best. She is a Certified Functional Nutrition Informed Professional and a Certified Pre- and Postnatal Coach, bringing a well-rounded, integrative approach to care. Ashley enjoys treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions and has developed a special interest in women’s health. She also offers dry needling as part of her treatment toolkit. Her philosophy centers on treating the whole body—not just symptoms—while working closely with each patient to create personalized, empowering treatment plans that support long-term health and wellness.

Maeve received her doctorate of physical therapy from Mary Baldwin University and her BFA in dance and choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has a passion for working with performing artists of all levels which has taken her to work with artists in Richmond, Chicago, and on tour with a Broadway musical. Maeve focuses on functionality to help her clients keep doing what they love. In her free time she enjoys reading, crocheting, and traveling to new places.
